TOMMBA to Expand Boyne School Forest Trails System

TOMMBA has just announced the beginning of a new fund drive to expand the trail system at the Boyne School Forest.  TOMMBA applied for and has been accepted as a Michigan Economics Development Corporation (MEDC) Public Spaces and Community Places funding campaign.  This means that MEDC will match your donation to the project up to $50,000 dollars!

Flowtrack Mountain Bike Trails of Marquette, MI has been contracted to build the expansion of trails at the Boyne School Forest.  The new trails will be built on the City of Boyne City property that is adjacent to the current trail system off of Erickson Road.  This expansion effort will create a unique bike park atmosphere with fun features that will challenge the beginner mountain biker and reward everyone with new experiences.

This is a map of the complete system proposed by Flowtrack.  This funding campaign will build the green trail that connects the current Boyne School Forest trail to the newly constructed parking lot on Old Horton Bay Road.  The City of Boyne City and Evangeline Township applied and received a Charlevoix County Recreational Grant to build the parking area.  That parking area is near completion.
